I shouldn’t be surprised, but I am, a little. She waited until a week before school starts to tell me. A week before school starts, after a summer of planning, she tells me she really hates to read. I knew she didn’t really ENJOY reading, but after spending summer planning out all of our TOG reading, much of which entails HER TO-READ BOOKS, many books, she tells me she’d rather just use BJU for history.
Mom took a deep breath, prayed, and realized that it’s not worth fighting for what I WANT HER TO DO, because Tapestry of Grace is really what I WANTED, not necessarily what she did. 8th grade is hard enough as it is, for Mom and kid! I still plan on covering Egypt with the boys, as that is a FUN period and I have lots of projects and things for them to do. J said she will jump in with those, but for her own history she’d rather just use BJU. I’m okay with that. Thankfully TOG won’t be hard to sell. I should be able to have it sold & J’s BJU American Republic purchased by this afternoon.
Sigh. Once again Mom was off doing her own thing when she should have been praying.
I guess I’m just a TOG Wanna-Be.
