P was invited to the Senior Prom by a friend from church. He doesn’t go to the high school she had gone to, but she has quite a few friends who go there. A big group of them went all together and they had a fabulous time. They went out for dinner at a nice Italian place (what were they THINKING with those girls in those gorgeous dresses? I’d be wearing my red sauce!), drove around (3 car loads of them.)
They took pictures in random, weird places. Like a mattress store. When I asked them “What did the employees say when you guys were doing that?” M, P’s date said, “Oh, the guy was like ‘Hey do you want me to take your picture?’” Haha I should have known!
Of course, I did the “Mom thing” and went to the main gathering place (one of the girls’ homes) with all the OTHER moms, and took pictures before they all left for dinner.
I have permission by her date to use his picture here. Besides, he works for me in the cafe at church, so he has to let me (haha). After the Prom, they went bowling, then back to the home base girl’s house to play games. The guys left around 2am and the girls all stayed up all night yakking… you know, like girls do. 😉
So who told you homeschoolers can’t go to the Prom? Just don’t tell my daughter it’s not allowed, okay?
