Amber over at Bringing Good Home has issued us a challenge! Some of you already know that I’m on Weight Watchers, and have been trying to shed some of this extra padding I’ve acquired the past few years. I decided, since I’m already doing this, why not join the challenge?
So here it is: My weigh-in on Monday was sad. I am up 1.8#. My fault, entirely. I’ve been terrible about counting my points, and even worse and managing my portion sizes. Yep, totally my fault. To be perfectly honest, my 55# weight LOSS 5 years ago began to reverse itself (ahem) two years ago. Hey, I kept it off for THREE YEARS! Then I got lazy. I went back to old habits and sweets in excess, and large portions and not enough fruits & veggies…. and now I have 35# I need to lose, again. ![]()
I’ve lost 7# since I started back at WeightWatchers… which sounds GREAT until you hear I’ve been at this again for 11 weeks…. which potentially I COULD HAVE lost around 22 pounds, had I been faithfully following the program. Yep, my fault. Okay, so it’s time to get with the program!
So, join us. I will post my weigh-ins every Monday!! (Amber will force me to! LOL)
- So what will I do differently this week?
- 1. I will watch my portion sizes
- 2. I will not drink my points (OH this is so hard because I LOVE Granitas!)
- 3. I will strive to eat from at least three food groups at each meal.
4. I will exercise.
I have posted a Wanted Ad at Freecycle for a treadmill! I love to walk/jog but don’t have time to go to the gym or the luxury of being able to go miles from home… I can do that in my living room, and would rather do it that way too!
So far I got one response offering one that needs a belt, and another that was actually asking me about homeschooling. Sigh. I need a treadmill!

Hey – you can do it! Just keep at it.
So glad you're joining in!
BTW – I like the new header- I guess I haven't been over here directly (and not via Google Reader) to see it.
