“This is hard.” One of my B90X kids told me that on Facebook last night. Yes, it’s hard. God’s Word is hard. After all, it came directly from the mouth of the Almighty.
“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.” 2Timothy 3:16-17
“For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” Hebrews 4:12
It is our direction, contains our instructions for life, and it illuminates the way we are supposed to go.
Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. Psalm 119:105
And reading it can be hard. There are hard truths, hard teachings, hard realities. There are also big words, names that are hard to pronounce, and repetition that can sometimes cause us to wonder what the point is. But God always has a point. Then add in a 90 day reading schedule, and you’ve got yourself an almost impossible task.
YES, IT’S HARD. Very.
There is only one way to read the Bible in 90 days. Only One Way I know that will always be my help, my guide, my lamp, and the One Who makes a way when there seems to be no way. Seeking the One who inspired the Book. Cling to Him. Because really, it’s not about us. It’s not about what we want to do. The focus has to shift, because this is hard. It has to shift, to Him. It’s just too hard to do this in my flesh. But in Him, I can.
Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21

Amen to that!! Very well said and so very true. Thanks for sharing.
