This time of year, kids everywhere wait for the Christmas magic to begin.
It never seems to come fast enough, and then once it does, it’s over in a blink. Oh the anticipation! It just screams HURRY UP!
I’m in a season of waiting too. I haven’t been writing much… not here at all… and just a bit on the site that I manage, Blessings Under the Bridge. God is doing things in me right now, but it requires a season of waiting. I am not gone. I have not forgotten my blog or you. I’m not even sure what the end result of this will be. I only know that the quiet is welcome.
And I wait. Not just for what ever the Lord is doing, but also for a grandbaby! Our son and his sweet wife are due any minute now. Well, in truth they were due the 13th. Their little guy just isn’t in any hurry for us to see his face!
The kids and I have taken the remainder of December off from homeschooling. We’ve set up the tree and bought gifts that we’ve yet to wrap. I’ve met for coffee with several girl friends, we’ve served with BUTB, and the boys have played a lot of XBox. And I’m okay with that. We all need this break.
To decide. (Math curriculum woes, again.)
And to just BE.
And any time now our new grandson will make an appearance. In all honesty, I’m a lot more excited about him than Christmas.
Any time now. Come on, baby!
Finger tap. Tap. Tap. Tap.
Any time now. 🙂
