Even if you have recently begun homeschooling, you have probably made one discovery we all have in common: curriculum costs money–sometimes quite a LOT of money!
Teens are famous for conforming to a clique or style of fashion to “be different!” (from Mom & Dad), when they are actually blending right in with all the other kids they hang out with. They successfully keep from being different, thereby actually hiding who they really are. I see it all the time in our youth group.
This session with Todd Wilson was SO GOOD. He really made me see that I have been believing some of these lies. I have done my part to help sabotage my own homeschool. What an eye opener! And he’s funny too, which I love. It makes the sour grapes go down a lot easier, lemme tell ya.
Lorrie Flem is a highly engaging speaker. She brought up so many great points that I couldn’t even try to write them all here. My notes didn’t come out as a clear outline of her talk, because my thoughts intruded on my note taking. Ever have that happen? =)
