WoW! it,s amazing!!!!my girl is exactly the same! she could’nt swallow her saliva. She chokes on on everything ] we fed her so i had to breastfeed till she was 3. Toilet training was super tiring. We were in therapy for speech, o.t, special education and we even had a dietician. We started therapy since she’s 2.She is now 6,eating solids and toilet trained. We are still on speech therapy ,o.t and special education that is teaching her how to learn and read. She has a MAJOR PROBLEM with sequencing… . everything that has a sequence is hard….she is also finding it terribly hard to express her thoughts and answering the WHY? WHERE? WHEN? questions appropriately. She has come a REALLY long way from the blowing bubbles exercises!!! We cried when she could finally blew her birthday candles on her 4t birthday. To all out there who is just like us Hang in there and be PATIENT. Good Luck !
Sequencing. Yes, I hear you. My son has another issue besides dyspraxia, so I haven’t been able to determine whether his difficulty with following instructions is due to his dyspraxia/apraxia issues, or his other delay. Hearing from you makes me think it is due, at least in part, to apraxia also. “Why?” questions are STILL difficult for D1, and he is 8 years old now. He will repeat your question (several times), or he will answer inappropriately by giving a ‘when’ or a ‘what’ answer. He has been working on these questions for several years, and has come a long way, but we aren’t there yet.
Does anyone else have suggestions for huzi? We are in the same boat, so I am probably not much help at this point. Thanks!
