OUR SCHOOL CALENDAR

This year we are following a traditional school calendar, because we rejoined our old co-op!  The boys and I are all pretty excited about it, and I could tell just from the registration day that the Lord has a plan through it all. Our school year this year runs from September 6-June 28, which allows us extended Christmas and Spring breaks.

OUR CURRICULUM 2011-2012

J- 12th Grade: Running Start at the college

D1- 6th Grade:

• Teaching Textbooks Math 5 on CD
• Timez Attack! and Division Attack! Online
• Easy Grammar 5/6
• Sequential Spelling Level 1
• A Reason for Handwriting (Cursive)
• Time Travelers unit studies by Homeschool in the Woods (New World Explorers, Colonial Life, & the Revolutionary War)
• Historical fiction/non-fiction titles from my favorite book list, All Through the Ages by Christine Miller
• Apologia Land Animals of the Fifth Day
• some keyboarding program?
• Co-op Classes: PE, Youth Authors, and Apologia Science

D2- 4th Grade:

• Teaching Textbooks Math 4 on CD
• Timez Attack! Online
• Easy Grammar 3/4
• Sequential Spelling Level 1
• A Reason for Handwriting Manuscript/Cursive Transition
• Time Travelers unit studies by Homeschool in the Woods (Explorers, Colonists, & Revolutionary War)
• Historical fiction/non-fiction titles
• Apologia Land Animals of the Fifth Day
• Co-op Classes: PE, Dangerous Book for Boys, Apologia Science
