Do You Know How To…

…put a picture in a picture frame?  Are you SURE?  Maybe you don’t do it CORRECTLY.  Well I just learned how to properly install a picture in a picture frame.

My husband is a budding photographer. He has been taking some amazing pictures, recently moving from landscapes last year into portraits. He took both of our teens’ Senior pictures, as well as a student from our youth group’s.  He is getting better all the time at composition and lighting and everything else.  And what he doesn’t get quite right, I can then tweak in Photoshop Elements 8, because he shoots in RAW format, and it is so FUN the play with. ;)

So, he recently took this picture, which we had printed 16×20, and bought a frame for it.  He took the girls from New Hope House out for a photo shoot.  This is the one we’re sending down, for the house.

PICT0002Now remember, putting a picture in a frame is TRICKY!  Since we may not do it right, instructions were included with this frame, which we purchased at Michael’s craft store. I know that it says “Assembly Instructions”, but the frame was already assembled. It just needed a picture.

Let me see if I have this straight:  LIFT the tab with my finger, put the picture in, and PUSH the tab DOWN with my finger.

Yes, I think we did it correctly.

I think I need a new category called “Stupid Instructions” or “For Dummies”, or something like that. ;)

  • Hi Dawn,

First of all, that photo is awesome!

Second, I hear you on stupid instructions.

I love the instructions on children’s clothing that say, “Keep away from open flames.” In my mind, I don’t really need to be reminded to keep my toddlers away from open flames, but maybe some people do?

    Blessings
