WOW. I have spent the entire week struggling to get caught up on my reading! It was SO hard this week! I was two days behind in last Monday’s Check-in post. I got THREE days behind as of Thursday!..I caught up one day on Saturday, and was again two days behind, until today. I just, ten minutes ago, finished Day 81’s reading!! Hooray!
I also started my closing post for this challenge, even though I’M NOT THERE YET. Why? Because I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Because I know I WILL be there, on time. And because I like to jump the gun sometimes. =)
So now we’re in 1Corinthians, well into full-on Paul territory. Paul, outspoken, unashamed evangelist and man of God, making me wish that I could have been there. I would love to have seen Paul in action, preaching, rebuking leaders of Church and State, full of the Holy Spirit and totally unafraid. What is it about Paul that makes me wish I could see more men like him? And wish that I were like him? We need more Pauls in the Church today! Listen to this stuff!
But what are you, O man, to talk back to God? Rom. 9:20
How often do I dictate to God what I will or won’t do, or where I will or won’t go? Who am I anyway? I am a Child of the King, which means that I answer to Him, not the other way around!
For the foolishness of God is wiser than man’s wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man’s strength. 1Cor.1:25
Yes, God is smarter than you. He’s smarter than me. He is smarter than Bill Gates, or even Stephen Hawking… who is, by the way, dead now. God is stronger, smarter, faster, and more able to do everything and anything that He sees fit, in my life or in anyone elses. We humans are too arrogant to be able to even consider having power like that. Best to leave it to the only One who is able.
As it is, there are many parts, but one body…
If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it. Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it. 1Cor 12:20, 12:26-27
Amy over at Mom’s Toolbox has a really good SOAP post about this very thing today. We are members of the body of Christ, and not one of us is more important than the next one. Every part is attached, joined through Christ. We should laugh and rejoice, and cry and mourn with our fellow believers. Our gifts and talents may be individual, but bringing them together only strengthens the Body even more.
I’m really excited about tonight’s Tweetup. You should join us! Just search for hashtag #b90days, and while you’re there, Follow me on Twitter too! . One more week! I can hardly believe it! I’m so excited to be done, but then again I am just excited for the opportunity to delve more deeply into God’s Word, as it has become my Daily Bread. Words can’t describe it adequately.

Awesome! I can feel your enthusiasm and it is beautiful!! Keep it up.. I can’t wait to read your closing post so very soon.

Doesn’t it feel amazing to be this close to the finishing line? I’m behind too. Lots of reading to do this week, for sure!

Congrats on getting caught up! I am about 1 day behind, but plan to be caught up before bed tonight.
I’ve had more trouble keeping on track with my daily reading these last two weeks then in any other point this year. Is it because it is spring, or because I’m so close to the goal? I do not know, but I do intend to finish on time!

ME TOO! It’s been harder now that EVER. I really believe it’s because the Enemy doesn’t want us to finish… doesn’t want us to read about how WE WIN and he loses. Keep reading!
