I think the title says it all. It’s been a rather stressful week, and I haven’t helped a whole lot. We got all the basic bookwork done (that we could in 3 days). Wednesday ended up being an errand running, computer school day. And today? Well every other Friday we spend the day doing our grocery shopping. So yes, 3 days of actual schoolin’ is what happened here this week. Both boys were struggling with their spelling words too, so chances are we will be re-doing those lists again this week. Spelling tests didn’t get taken today due to grocery shopping.
Other highlights:
My husband had new brakes put on my van a couple of weeks ago, and they squeak SO BAD that he’s GOT to take the van back and have them fix whatever they messed up, because they sound worse than before the brake job! In the meantime, I’m driving his car.
I thought my wallet was stolen out of my purse at youth group on Wednesday night. I posted about that Inconvenience already.
My house is a pit, in desperate need of a decluttering. I can see it, I can sort of think through what needs to be done. I have no motivation. As I said, Lazy Momma. Where’s a professional organizer with tips and tricks and containers and help when I need one? (Oh yeah, probably MONEY to pay for that would help too.)
P took 4 weeks to complete her first film unit in her Literary Analysis course (Movies as Literature). These units are designed to take 5-9 days each. This is NOT encouraging.
A praise! One great thing happened this week! Teen Challenge New Hope House was blessed with the entire $54,000 (See my post about Helping New Hope House). They are still needing to have the monthly support committments to show by Nov. 1st at their board meeting, so they will have their budget set for the next year. If you have a heart for helping troubled girls, please consider giving to this amazing ministry. We love this program SO MUCH I cannot even begin to tell you!! If you have any questions about Teen Challenge, please feel free to email me dawn (at) 5kidsandadog (dot) com. They have blessed our daughter and our family tremendously.
I’ve been rather down in the dumps the past few days. I miss J so much. I need to dejunk my house. I need to do a lot of things I’ve been too lazy to do lately. If you think about me, pray for me. I’m needing some extra Jesus right now too.

Love ya, girlfriend!!
Does that help any? =) I know how you feel about the house, and the schooling not getting done, and the not having the best week. I’m right there with ya! Jesus gets us through it tho, yes he does. =)

All mamas need a lazy week now and then. We do A LOT as homeschooling moms! Sometimes we just need a mental health-life skills day or week

We’ve ALL had those weeks! The money, the kids, the cars the spelling test! Give it to Jesus and start over, that’s what I have to do at least 3 or 4 times a week
It was nice finding your blog!

You are not alone! Praying for you that next week wont be as stressful!
Well with all of the extras/drama you’ve dealt with this week, I think fitting in 3 days is AWESOME! Good for you!
I call the “off days” “teacher work days”. LOL
