Lately I haven’t been posting much, because I have been reading. A LOT. Many of you know that I “may” be bringing my boys home for school again. My husband and I have a deal: I find out as much as I can about teaching our special needs son (ideas, routines, redirection techniques, etc.) and he will let me pull them out as of the first of the year. Well, mostly. D1 will remain in the Resource program for “extra help”, 2 hours per day. Yes, I realize it’s just one-on-one and that’s what I will provide. This is his requirement in order for me to homeschool. In that case, I’ll take it. We can do this, for this year.

So I’ve been reading a looking for anything I can find as far as homeschooling books, special needs books, and at-home therapy resources too. My current reading list:

Teaching Children: A Curriculum Guide to What Children Need to Know at Each Level Through Sixth Grade by Diane Lopez

These have been keeping me quite busy, along with conducting a dual search for curriculum materials. I have fallen in love with the CM/AO/OFE style, as well as all of the old books available for free online. I have converted literally dozens of books to PDF files (not all recently!), for easy reading and printing. I could be talked into posting a bunch to download, if someone asks nice.
