My hubby told me a few days ago that I’d “better start dropping hints for Mother’s Day.” I’ve already shown him–without Mother’s Day intentions– something I could really use. It’s the NIV/Message Parallel Bible, like this one:
It’s “Two great Bibles side-by-side” (from the cover wrapping). I have had a chance to look at this bible, and would really love it have it! My daughter P (16) has The Message Remix, and I have a hardcover NIV (The first edition Women’s Devotional Bible) which is so old that I’m about to lose the front cover. The spine is totally gone. I’d just love to be able to have both, side by side. The Message is nice (although not Scripture) because it’s in modern language, and reads more like a story. Even my hubby said he would be able to follow that.
So my hint has been dropped. I don’t know why he even said it, after spending time at the Christian book store with me, and actually looking at that particular Bible. I wonder if you really have to hit a man over the head with your gift ideas, in order for them to realize “Oh, THAT’S what you wanted?!”

Your blog is amazing – wow what information! I can’t wait to peruse it more. Thanks for the info on digi scraping. I’m headed now to check out some of the links you suggested. Luckily I already have Adobe Photoshop Elements 5.0 so that will help.
Thanks again!
