did NOT turn out like I’d hoped it would!! I bought end of the season tickets to take the family to the local amusement park. We headed out to go (late, and forgetting the boys’ lifejackets).

We arrived within a 10 minute drive to the place, but traffic was backed up all the way into town because everyone else and their dog had the same idea we did!! We ended up turning around and eating our bucket of KFC at the lake instead. It was a mellow afternoon but not what I wanted. Then last night my work rented out the waterslide park for the employees from 6:30-9:30.

I spent 90% of the time walking in freezing ankle deep water, watching the boys have fun on the kiddee slides. I didn’t end up going on ANY slides. I did manage to get dh to take the boys sliding for a while on the big slides, and I sat in the hot tub with two of my friends and chatted for a while. That was nice. The kids and my hubby had a great time last night. Still, not the fun fun weekend I had hoped for. Maybe I need an attitude adjustment.
